A headteacher in Dartford and a chief executive for Bromley council are amongst people who have been recognised by the Queen in the New Year's Honours list.

The list notices the achievements and services of people across the UK.

Headteacher of Dartford Grammar school, William John Oakes has been nominated for his services in education.

Chief executive for Bromley council, Adesola Olumide Adetosoye has been awarded a CBE for services to children’s welfare.

Environmental campaigns officer, for Bromley borough, Jacqueline Baxter, has been nominated for services to the community in Bromley during the pandemic.

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Jonathon Mark Sesnan for Greenwich Leisure Ltd has been chosen for services to the UK Leisure Industry during Covid.

Honours have been awarded on almost every New Year since 1890, with recipients receiving titles.
