Three people will appear in court over the death of 27-year-old Jobari Gooden in Peckham.

Momodou Lamin Faal 27, of Lyndhurst Way, Peckham, has been charged with murder.

A man and a woman have been charged with perverting the course of justice.

They are 39-year-old Olushola Eletu, address not confirmed, and 39-year-old Elishah Anderson of Lettsom Street, Peckham.

All three will appear at Southwark Crown Court on Thursday, December 30.

They also appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court on Monday, December 27.

Jobari was fatally stabbed on Friday, December 17 in the Peckham Rye area.

His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers from the Met's Specialist Crime Command.

Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and information about the incident, and anyone with information should call 101 quoting CAD 4252/17DEC.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Three people appeared at Croydon Magistrates Court on Monday, 27 December in connection with the murder of Jobari Gooden at Peckham Rye on Friday, 17 December.

“[A] Momodou Lamin Faal, 27 (19.01.94) of Lyndhurst Way, Peckham appeared charged with murder.

“[B] Olushola Eletu, 39 (11.09.82) (address not confirmed) and [C] Elishah Anderson, 39 (02.05.82) of Lettsom Street, Peckham appeared charged with perverting the course of justice.

“All three were remanded in custody to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Thursday, 30 December.

“Jobari was fatally stabbed on Friday 17 December in the Peckham Rye area.

“His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers from the Met's Specialist Crime Command.

“Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and information about the incident.
