A man has been jailed in connection with a series of sexual offences committed in Southwark.

Joshua Victorin, 25, from south London has been jailed after sexually assaulting six women.

He was arrested on January 5 after he committed two attempted rapes between December 23 and December 31 of last year and four sexual assaults within a three hour period on January 4.

Police say there might be other women that were assaulted by him and urge them to come forward.

He had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted rape and four counts of sexual assault.

He was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday, December 16, where he was served a life sentence.

He will serve a minimum of eight years and eight months’ imprisonment.

Detective Sergeant Chloe Angris said: “Victorin is a prolific offender who assaulted six women over a 12-day period.

“It is possible that there might be other women who were assaulted by him, and I would urge them to contact us.

“The Met is committed to tackling violence against women and girls, and with Victorin’s imprisonment, Southwark is a safer place.

“Victorin committed two attempted rapes on 23 and 31 December 2020, and four sexual assaults within a three hour period on Monday, 4 January.

“He was arrested by officers from the Central South BCU on Tuesday, 5 January.”

A Met Police spokesperson said: “A man has been jailed in connection with a series of sexual offences committed in the Southwark area.

“Joshua Victorin, 25 (10.09.96) from south London was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday, 16 December to a life sentence and will serve a minimum of eight years and eight months’ imprisonment.

“He had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted rape and four counts of sexual assault.”
