We asked south east Londoners if the Omicron variant was making them rethink Christmas plans.

There were a mix of responses – with the majority choosing to celebrate Christmas as usual.

Some are planning to approach Christmas festivities with caution, by having lateral flow tests at the ready.

“I couldn’t do it last year, I hope nothing changes.

“I’m really looking forward to it, especially going for Christmas dinner on Christmas day to a lovely pub.”

“Mine and my husband’s parents are gone, my brother lives in Devon and does Christmas with his family down there.
