B&M has opened it's new Dartford discount store today - just in time for Christmas.

The store, which is located in Princes Road in place of the former Homebase site, opened at 8am and is staying open until 8pm.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products, including toys, food and drink, pet products and health & beauty, DIY, wallpaper and a large garden centre.

B&M says it's customers in Kent were "delighted" following the "long-awaited" opening of the new store.

The new colleagues were also asked to nominate a local charity that they think deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do.

They chose the team from North Kent Mind to officially unveil the new B&M store.

In addition to opening the store, the team also received £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.

The store manager, said: "It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors this morning, the feedback so far has been fantastic.

“Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, and we can’t wait to show customers their brand new B&M.”

The store is open 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm on Saturdays and 11am to 5pm on a Sunday.

The store is located at the southwestern corner of Dartford Central Park and above Brooklands Lake.

Customers are told to head for the crossroads with Princes Road and Lowfield Street and go in an easterly direction along Princes Road - taking the first right turn.

There is parking available on site.
