A BIG Christmas event will host art activities and other events.

The festive event will be kicking off on Monday November 29.

The occasion will open with an interactive light display known as Wave, created by art collectives Squidsoup.

Running over three consecutive weekends from Saturday, December 4, locals can visit the winter farmers’ market and showings of classic Christmas films.

On Friday, December 10, festive go-ers will have the opportunity to see a one-night-only performance of jazz music, presented by The Peninsulist.

Squidsoups display, Wave, consists of five-hundred individual suspended orbs and LED lights with movement sensor and wireless connectivity.

News Shopper:

The display has previously toured the world’s festivals, including the UK’s Burning Man Festival.

The winter farmers market will be stocked with organic meat and high-quality goods.

Christmas films will include classics such as Love Actually and Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas- with tickets starting at £5 for children and £7 for adults.

Guests can expect to enjoy a variety of arts and culture this Christmas in Greenwich Peninsula.
