A South London restaurant has been named the Best pizza in the UK at this year's National Pizza Awards.
Mike's Peckham won the crown after beating out 14 other pizza contenders across the nation.
Chef Francesco Canzani cooked the winning pizza using the Roman-style Dondini style pizza.
Toppings for the crowned pizza included roasted corn peppers dressed with white balsamic vinegar, sheep's milk ricotta, and finocchiona salami.
The dough for the pizza was made of high-quality flour and is cold-proofed for a total of 48 hours.
Mike's Peckham only opened back in April 2021 but has already become very popular.
Other winners from this year's National Pizza awards include Laurence Tottingham of Revolution Bars Group, who was crowned Pizza Chef of the Year.
