A 68-year-old man was fined £174 for dropping a cigarette butt outside Greenwich station.
Phillip Jones, of Thornham Street, was charged under the Environmental Protection Act, after he was seen discarding the item on April 5 this year.
He pleaded guilty to the offence on November 2 and was fined £174.
This included an initial fine of £40, a £34 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £100.
He will pay back £20 per month starting November 30.
