Shop - Eat & Drink - Celebrate

Christmas is coming to Bromley this month providing the perfect opportunity to highlight the great shopping, eating and drinking and celebratory events the town has to offer.

The festive season gets underway with the Christmas Market arriving on the High Street on 12th November, followed by the 12 Snowmen of Christmas Trail arriving on 17th November.

The celebrations continue on 21st November when a small, COVID secure, Bromley Christmas Lights Switch On event will take place and Bromley’s brand new Christmas lights will be switched on for the first time. The new decorations will include lit up trees and beautiful selfie opportunities on the High Street. The lights will be turned on by two stars of The Churchill Theatre’s Pantomime who will be joined by Bromley’s 2021 Local Hero.

A Christmas Craft Market at Contingent Works will take place from 11am - 4pm on 27th and 28th November providing a great opportunity to pick up some Christmas gifts and decorations.

As December arrives the festivities will continue. A Destination Lapland experience is coming to The Glades this December starring Nordic Santa and Mrs Claus and Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas in Bromley without the panto at The Churchill Theatre.  This year’s production of Sleeping Beauty, starring Lee Mead, Bonnie Langford, Myra Dubois, Lloyd Hollet and Claudillea Holloway, opens on 4th December and runs until 2nd January. The Gingerbread Man, The Churchill Theatre’s Christmas Studio show also runs from 11th - 23rd  December offering even more festive family fun!

To bring even more Christmas cheer to the town centre, Christmas themed performers will take to the streets every Saturday to entertain passers by.

The Pavilion will be celebrating Christmas too with festive bowling parties making the perfect way to have fun with friends, family or colleagues in the run up to Christmas, plus lots of other Christmas attractions will be offering entertainment as well.  From children’s entertainment thanks to The Glades Clip Theatre to ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ at Bromley Little Theatre and the Bromley Conservatoire Christmas Concert on 15th December, Bromley has something for everyone.

Frances Forrest, manager of Your Bromley, commented: “We can’t wait to help bring some Christmas spirit to Bromley. There is so much to do in our town centre, from the hundreds of shops to the wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars through to the amazing entertainment. We hope we will be welcoming residents, Bromley workers and new visitors to celebrate with us this year.”
