Multiple roads in Dartford were closed by overnight as a bomb disposal team worked to ensure a suspicious package was safe.
Police were called shortly after 11.30pm after a number of electrical items were found discarded in the Church Field area.
Cordons were established, covering the junction of Hawley Road and Oakfield Lane, and the junction of Warren Road and Church Hill.
Specialist officers from the ministry of defence confirmed the items were not explosives and posed no risk to public safety, allowing the cordons to be lifted by 5am.
