Some have shared anecdotes of what they have spotted in the area - including "far too well dressed and exotic" potential cast members going into Eltham charity shops.

One resident said: "I can’t be 100% per cent sure but I think I may have seen Timothee Chalamet going into one of the charity shops this afternoon!

"He was far too well dressed and exotic for these parts."

Others have said film crews are "definitely" shooting for a new Wonka film as they claim to have received a letter in the post about it.

One excited Eltham resident said: "They are making a film called Wonka, we had a letter telling us because the crew buses are parked in Eltham Town football club behind where we live."

Others echoed the same "Wonka"-related speculation.

One passer-by posted a picture of a Narrow Mark Films Limited "filming notice" which has been put up in the area.
