A 30-year-old man was fined nearly £400 after travelling on a train to Bromley South without a ticket.

Ryan Richard Picardo, of Bromley Common, was caught on April 20, 2021, having failed to pay the £7.30 fare for his Southeastern journey from Shoreham.

He was convicted in his absence on October 20 at Bexley Magistrates' Court and fined a total of £396.30.

This included an initial fine of £220, compensation of £7.30, a £34 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £135.

The court ordered it to be paid by November 17.
