A man has been assaulted with a bladed weapon in Dartford.

Police were called at 10pm on Monday night to an assault on a footbridge close to Dartford train station.

Officers and ambulance crews attended and a man was treated for leg injuries and taken to hospital.

These are believed to have been caused by a bladed instruement.

He has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 10pm on Monday 8 November 2021, to a report of an assault on a footbridge close to Dartford train station.

"Officers and ambulance crews attended and a man was treated for leg injuries, believed to have been caused by a bladed instrument.

"He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
