With Christmas just around the corner, streets up and down the country will be lit up with Christmas joy as festive lights are switched on. 

Of course, London is known for having some of the best and biggest Christmas Lights displays in the UK, with Carnaby and Regent street being the most popular. 

Plus with dates for the switch on's quickly arriving we've put a helpful list together so you don't miss any. 

Carnaby Christmas Lights

When: 4 November 

This year Carnaby has worked with Choose Love a refugee charity to create an overhead display of over 600 butterflies. 

The butterflies will be used to signify rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life. 

The switch-on will take place tomorrow as well as the annual Christmas shopping party, which you can register for now to receive discounts to local shops, bars, and restaurants. 

Regent Street Christmas Lights

When: 13 November

Regent Street's 'The Spirit of Christmas' will return to the street with its iconic angels lighting up the street. 

The lights will be on from 2 pm to midnight, making a  change from previous years, to create a more sustainable display. 

Covent Garden Christmas Lights

When: 9 November

Along with having London's biggest Christmas tree, Covent Garden will be lighting up with dozens of festive lights throughout the market. 

The lights will be switched on, in the morning of November 9.

Belgravia Christmas Lights 

When: 10 November

Belgravia will be illuminated with a festive display of sparkling lights to mark the season. 

The display called 'With Bells On' will spread across, Pimlico Road, Elizabeth Street, Eccleston Yard, Halkin Arcade, and Motcomb Street. 

Lightopia in Crystal Palace Park

When: 19 November 

Crystal Palace Park will once again be welcoming the award-winning light festival throughout the park from November 19 to January 2. 

The festival will feature lanterns, handmade and hand-painted using ancient Chinese methods, and multi-sensory interactive lights that tell the story of wonder and rebirth.
