Motorcyclists have been warned about a group operating in the Dartford area after two robberies were reported within an hour on Saturday (October 17).

The first incident took place on Dartford Road, Farningham, at around 9pm, when a motorcyclist was targeted by four men in a black Fiesta, who rammed him, forcing him to stop, before stealing his vehicle.

A second report was made at 9.44pm, after a Honda Zooma was stolen from outside a caravan in Brands Hatch.

Inspector Simon Whitehead said: "We are continuing to investigate both incidents and are appealing for information.

"We are asking anyone who was in the Dartford Road area at around 9pm on Saturday to review their dashcam footage and contact us if they have anything that may assist detectives.

"I would also like to urge motorcyclists to be mindful that someone may target them for the bike and to secure their vehicle as best they can when leaving it unattended.

"Whilst it is unusual for such force to be used to steal a motorcycle as reported in this instance, if you are riding and think someone may be following you, ride to a busy area or a police station before stopping."

Anyone with information should contact the west Kent appeals lines on 01622 604100, quoting reference 16-1374.
