A person has been taken to hospital following a car crash in the centre of Bexleyheath last night.

Metropolitan Police was called to Watling Street just before 9:30pm on Thursday, September 9, after reports of a collision.

Two cars were involved in the collision, with police and the London Ambulance Service attending the scene in south east London.

One person was taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests were made, but police enquiries into the incident continue.

Jambuster said the A207 Watling Street in Bexleyheath was closed in both directions at the junction of Pinnacle Hill at around 10pm due to a collision.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called at shortly before 21:30hrs on Thursday, 9 September to reports of a collision involving two cars on Watling Street in Bexleyheath.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. One person - no further details - was taken to hospital; their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“No arrests. Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
