A suspected car thief has been arrested following a police chase through multiple boroughs.
Metropolitan Police's Road & Transport team said they managed to locate a BMW which had been stolen in Newham, and in the early hours of Wednesday (September 8) gave chase.
The BMW X1 was pursued across into south east London, where officers from MPS Greenwich joined the chase.
The driver decamped in Greenwich and was subsequently arrested by Met dog handlers.
Police were able to identify the vehicle as the BMW stolen in Bromley back in February, despite it being fitted with false number plats
