Sydenham police officers found a large knife while out on patrols on Saturday.

They urged residents to stay vigilant and keep their eyes and ears open.

The officers also gave out two anti-social behaviour warnings.

They conducted visits and patrolled hotspots.

Sydenham officers revealed a picture of the knife on social media in a post that said: "Back out on the ward today, hooray!

"One large #knife found.

"Residents, stay vigilant and keep eyes and ears open.

"If you’re ever in immediate danger, call 999.

"We would rather it be nothing than something!

"Two ASB warnings issued, visits conducted and hotspots patrolled."
