It's set to be another rainy weekend in London ahead - as the Met Office has confirmed there are no signals for 'particularly warm conditions' to come.

It’s been a rainy August so far in London – and according to the Met Office the average monthly rainfall across the city has already been exceeded.

And that's due to exceed even more this weekend as heavy rain is forecast to fall.

With highs of 15 degrees, Saturday will see a dry morning with rain fall getting heavier as the afternoon progresses.

Sunday will be the same - but with lighter rain lasting right through the evening.

A spokesperson for the Met Office has said that while there could be more settled conditions across southern areas over the coming weeks, the possibility of thunder and showery downpours continues.

They added: "There are no huge signals for particularly warm heatwave conditions in August and the risk of thunder in the forecast does persist.”
