Two people were rushed to hospital after a double-decker bus veered off-road and crashed into a building in Sidcup.

The ambulance service was called to Jubilee Way, outside Sidcup station, shortly before 4pm following reports of a crash.

Two people were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

Police, who arrived on the scene soon after, said the building was evacuated to allow for a structural assessment to be carried out.

Enquiries are ongoing, and no arrests have been made. 

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 3.57pm today (17 August) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus on Jubilee Way, Sidcup.

"We sent two ambulance crews, an incident response officer, a medic in a car, an emergency planning and resilience officer, and a hazardous area response team.

"Two people have been treated at the scene and taken to hospital."
