Heartwarming pictures show Emma Radacunu playing tennis with pupils from her former primary school during a special visit on sports day.

Wimbledon tennis star Emma Radacunu, 18, visited Bickley Primary School in Bromley this week.

The 18-year-old tennis player recently made history by reaching the last 16 at the Wimbledon Championships.

Radacunu was pictured showing young pupils the technique that took her to the fourth round as a Wimbledon wildcard.

Both Radacunu and Bickley pupils could be seen smiling from ear to ear as they trained and exchanged skills in the sunny weather.

The tennis star also swapped participation for a spectator role as she watched pupils take part in their other sports day activities.

"Amazing visit to my own @bickleyprimaryschool on sports day, such a warm welcome and many sweet memories of this place," Emma wrote on Instagram.

It comes shortly after Radacunu was invited behind the scenes for Sunday's GP at Silverstone.

It seemed she enjoyed her visit to the school just as much, or even more, as she revisited her Bromley roots.

Raducanu is also a former pupil of Newstead Woods school in Bromley.

She retired against Ajla Tomljanovic due to breathing difficulties when trailing 4-6 0-3 at Wimbledon.
