Fears have been raised after a nightclub located between flats on a street in central Bromley applied for a seven-day a week late licence.

The owners of Ora Nightclub, on Widmore Road, have applied for permission to open from 10am to 4am Monday to Saturday, and until 3am on Sunday.

When it last opened prior to the pandemic, the club, which offers "three floors of luxury with the best cocktails around" only opened on Friday and Saturday, closing at 2am.

A nearby resident, who did not want to be named, said: "We can’t be having it open so later every night, it’s absolutely ridiculous.

"It’s slap bang in the middle of a residential area.

"I just fear being kept awake every night.

"We’ve had the front door kicked in of our flats, bottles are out there in the mornings, sick on the floor, and that’s at the best of times.

"What on earth is it going to be like next?

"We always thought it would go back to the nightclub, I’m quite used to a night out myself, but this change could really affect our lives."

According to the licensing application by Dance Drink Entertainment Ltd, the club would reopen under the name Liberation.

If granted, the club would be allowed to provide entertainment, including sport, music and films, while serving alcohol, into the early hours.

Residents can have their say on the application by writing to the borough's licensing committee by July 26.

Dance Drink Entertainment Ltd has been approached for comment.
