POLICE are appealing for information on the suspicious death of a man who was found lying in a road.

Kevin Jessup, aged 44, of Kimber Road, Sydenham, was found lying unconscious outside the Lock Tavern, Chalk Farm Road, Camden, on December 21.

The father-of-three died at the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, on December 22.

A post-mortem examination at St Pancras mortuary on December 23 gave the cause of death as a fractured skull.

Police say the death is being treated as suspicious.

Detective Inspector Steve Smith, of the Met Police's Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "At this time we have been unable to ascertain where Kevin spent the night on December 20 and what caused Kevin's head injury.

"We know that Kevin left home in Sydenham at approxiamtely 4pm on December 20, with the intention of going to Finsbury Park.

"He was wearing a dark top with a hood, a dark casual hooded jacket and beige trousers."

Mr Smith said police needed to trace Mr Jessup's movements between leaving the Twelve Pins pub in Finsbury Park Road at 8pm on December 20 and being found at 6.45am the next day.
