A SUPERMARKET'S recycling bin had to be lifted up so firefighters could put out a fire which was inside it this morning.
The crew from Thames-side fire station used a 'prime mover', which is similar to the machine used to pick the container up when the waste paper is being collected, to dislodge the rubbish.
It was then easy for them to put the flames out at around midnight outside Asda, Imperial Retail Park, Thames Way, Gravesend.
