A man driving a Jeep reportedly crashed into a wall before being stabbed by the drivers of three other vehicles in an alarming Northfleet assault.

Police said it is thought that a black Jeep Cherokee collided with a wall on the High Street, between Hive Lane and Factory Road, at around 11:40pm on Saturday night, July 3.

Then the occupants of three different vehicles got out and started assaulting the driver of the Jeep.

The suspects fled in what were believed to be a white Audi, a red Audi and a white Ford Transit Van

The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained arm injuries which are consistent with stab wounds and was taken to hospital.

Officers closed the surrounding roads due to the "ongoing incident" which saw a large emergency services presence in the area.

Kent Police are now appealing for anyone with information or witnessed the incident to come forward, and are particularly keen to hear from anyone with video footage.

Currently no arrests have been made, but an investigation in ongoing.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "We were called to the High Street, between Hive Lane and Factory Road, at around 11.40pm on Friday 2 July 2021.

"A collision between a black Jeep Cherokee and a wall is understood to have taken place, before the occupants of three different vehicles assaulted the driver of the Jeep.

"The suspects are understood to have been travelling in a white Audi, a red Audi and a white Ford Transit and left the scene following the assault.

"The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained arm injuries which are consistent with stab wounds and was taken to hospital.

"He was taken to a London hospital and his wounds are not described as life threatening."
