ITV down? ITV player stops working in the UK during Euros

Downdetector has reported a surge in people claiming the online service is not working.

The channel is currently showing the France vs Switzerland Euros game.

People have taken to Twitter to complain after missing Switzerland's first goal.

One said: "Nightmare when Switzerland go 1-0 up against France and itv player isnt working."

Another said: "ITV Hub looking for a new tech team in the morning."

A third added: "And the Swiss have scored a second!

The service has paused during France vs Switzerland

"Unfortunately on ITV player you have no idea."

Some viewers said the hub is working but taking ages to buffer. 

Others said the programme is stuck on a Swiss corner 3 minutes and 20 seconds in.

User reports from Downdetector indicate problems at ITV

Those watching on TV have not been affected.

ITV said tonight: "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and working on getting services back as soon as possible."

Hundreds of people were quick to reply with their complaints.

One said: "Any apologies? Do you care?

The outage comes ahead of the launch of Love Island tonight.

The popular dating show will be shown on ITV2 at 10pm.
