A HOMELESS charity is appealing for any unwanted Christmas toiletries.
St Mungo's, which helps homeless people across London, is calling on Lewisham's residents to donate any toiletries they received as presents but do not want.
Asinette Williams, the manager of St Mungo's hostel, Exeter Way, New Cross, said: "When homeless men and women arrive at our hostels, they usually have nothing with them at all; no spare clothes and precious few possessions.
"It's the little things, like the offer of a cuppa and some nice toiletries, which can make the world of difference to someone settling in.
"Our residents are often very vulnerable and may have no self-esteem left.
"A little bit of pampering can work wonders in helping people feel better about their situation and begin the road to recovery."
You can send unwanted and unused toiletries to Smellies Amnesty, St Mungo's, Griffin House, 161 Hammersmith Road, London W6 8BS.
