THE father of one of three teenagers killed on New Year's Day when their car collided with a bus in Charlton has paid tribute to his "beautiful" daughter.

Amy Curran, aged 15, died when the Peugeot 206 she was travelling in collided with a bendy bus in Little Heath at around 6.30am.

The driver of the car - named by police today as Joe Wallis, 18, of Dallin Road, Shooters Hill - died in the smash.

Another girl, Georgina Fox, 16, of Elibank Road, Eltham, was also killed.

Two other passengers in the car were injured in the crash, which happened near the junction with Cemetery Lane.

A 17-year-old girl suffered multiple fractures and a boy, also 17, was treated for minor injuries.

The single-decker bus was not in service at the time and the driver was uninjured.

Tom Curran, aged 49, of Raeburn Road, Sidcup, has paid tribute to Amy, who attended St Thomas More Catholic Comprehensive in Eltham.

"She was beautiful. She had loads of friends, and a great sense of humour - she could always cheer you up and I don't think I ever saw her down," he said.

"She was good at school, and was due to go on a legal secretary's course at North West Kent College."

He added: "She never hung around in the street and she wasn't a hoodie. She was always picked up and dropped off, whatever she was doing.

"On the night she was dropped off in Falconwood to go to a restaurant with her friends, and after that they were due to be going back to a friend's house.

"We spoke to her at 1.30am, when she was at a small gathering. When the police came and said she was in a car that had been in an accident in Charlton, we don't know why she was there.

"We will live with that question for the rest of our lives."
