A driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing a car into a number of other vehicles around Plumstead Common before crashing into a wall during this morning's school run.
Neighbours were reportedly "shocked" after several cars were badly damaged by the driver, who witnesses claim might have been drunk.
The driver was travelling down Landstead Road, Raymere gardens and Flaxton Road at around 7:20am this morning, June 15.
It clipped or smashed into around three or four cars. leaving them divisibly damaged, before stopping after hitting a wall.
Police were called to the scene, and the car responsible was reportedly a convertible BMW.
A Met Police spokesman added: "Police were called at approximately 8.25am on Tuesday, 15 June to reports of a car that had collided with parked vehicles in the vicinity of Alabama Street, SE18.
"Officers attended and a man, believed to be the driver of the car, was arrested on suspicion of drink drive.
"He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
"No reports of any other injuries.
"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."
