A SKIP hire company has been fined for illegally placing a skip on a grass verge.
Pin Bins, part of Pinden Limited, Pinden Quarry, Longfield, Dartford, pleaded guilty to leaving a skip in Warren Road, Orpington, without obtaining a temporary highway licence.
The firm was ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £315 at Bromley Magistrates' Court on December 12.
Magistrates heard a council enforcement officer found the skip during a routine inspection of Warren Road last June.
Checks showed the skip was unlicensed and the firm was asked for it to be removed, but it was still there two days later.
