A pop star in his 30s has been arrested in south London on suspicion of assaulting a girlfriend, according to reports.

The musician, who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly attacked a woman at her flat on Tuesday (June 8), inflicting minor injuries, the Sun reports.

Police arrested the singer on suspicion of common assault and took him to a south London police station.

He was bailed until the end of the month.

A spokesperson for the police said: “Police were called at 6.03pm on Tuesday, June 8 to reports of a disturbance at a residential address.

“Officers attended and a woman reported minor injuries. She did not require hospital treatment.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
