A BIZARRE car fire was like something from a movie, said a firefighter who was at the scene.
Firefighters from Biggin Hill attended the incident in Saltbox Hill at 2.30am this morning after being called out to a suspected road traffic accident.
A white Mitsubishi Shogun had been set on fire and driven 50m across a field before it jumped across a road and into some trees.
The 4x4 pickup was badly damaged and was left abandoned in the woods.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "I have seen loads of car fires but not one that has been driven like something out of a movie.
"The tracks were about 50m long in the field, then it has hit the bank of the field and jumped through the air.
"It would have totally wiped out anyone coming in the other direction along the road."
Police said the vehicle had not been reported stolen and they are trying to make contact with the owner who comes from Surrey.
