An elderly driver ploughed his car into a West Wickham cafe after losing consciousness, injuring two women.
The 77-year-old lost control of the silver vehicle at around 4.45pm yesterday (June 7), smashing the window of Caffe Nero on West Wickham High Street.
Police and ambulance services attended the scene, discovering the driver behind the wheel unconscious and unresponsive.
He was rushed to a south London hospital, where his condition has been assessed as non-life-threatening.
A 39-year-old woman, a pedestrian, was also injured in the crash. After being hospitalised, her condition was assessed as non life-threatening.
A second woman was also taken to a south London hospital with non-life changing injuries.
Their next of kin has been informed.
No arrests have been made, as enquiries continue.
