A Sidcup-based men's football team is set to face off against a Liverpool based-team in the final of the National Christian Cup this weekend.
While many are tuning in for the Champions League final on Saturday (May 29), 23-year-old Bexley team Newgen FC will face off against Liverpool-based St Paul's & St Timothy FC.
The team, comprised mostly of men living in Bexley borough, play their home games at Waring Park in Sidcup.
The National Christian Cup sees church-based teams go head to head throughout England and Wales, organised by Christians In Sport, with Newgen FC representing New Generation Church in Sidcup.

The game is being held on neutral ground at Hemel Hempstead Town FC, a National League South team.
The kick off is 6pm and spectators are allowed, with entrance to the ground charged at £10 with concessions for children and the older generation.
