A Sidcup farm shop and cafe has announced plans for a Drive-in cinema in Bexley, opening in early summer.

Honeydale Farm, which houses a farm shop, tea room and cafe in Sidcup, will host a "truly unique outdoor cinema experience."

Opening from May 2021, the site is the first of many local sites who will be announcing plans for the summer as rules get increasingly less restrictive from April to June.

Outdoor cinemas, including drive-ins, are legally allowed to reopen from April 12, with no curfews in place and restrictions such as capacity limits yet to be announced.

Described as a "great initiative by a very popular little cafe," Honeydale Farm's cinema tickets include food for two, with a full food and drink menu, with toilets on site.

News Shopper:

The farm will use a bright LED screen, and sound can be played through your car's stereo. Prices are also charged by vehicle, not by person.

The event will go ahead come rain or shine, and only high winds or heavy rain will lead the event being rescheduled.

The first two films to be shown are The Greatest Showman and La La Land, both on May 1.
