The RSPCA have confirmed that a dead dog was found in a disturbing condition in Dartford last Thursday.
An investigation has been launched after the dog was reportedly found in a bag with its legs tied up after having allegedly been shot.
The poor creature was discovered at around 5pm in Riverside Walk on Central Road North in north Kent on March 4.
Police have been notified, and the dog has also now been taken to a vet to check its microchip.
People living in the area have been asked to check their CCTV whilst enquiries into the matter are ongoing.
The RSPCA said they had "launched an investigation after the body of a dead dog was found in Dartford on Thursday, March 4.
"Anyone with information that may help our enquiries should call our appeal line on 0300 123 8018."
