A man armed with a knife has been arrested after a police pursuit and a foot chase in Kidbrooke on Sunday, as a number of local police operations have resulted in arrests and seizures.
Greenwich Met Police reported that a male had been detained on January 31 and currently remains in custody.
This follows an incident which saw south east London's Violence Suppression Unit in pursuit of a moped through the streets of Kidbrooke, in Greenwich.
The police chase ended when the moped crashed into a tree, but the suspect then attempted to flee on foot.
After a short foot chase, a male was arrested and both a knife (pictured) and drugs were recovered.
In Thamesmead, officers from the Met's Thamesmead East and Belvedere teams arrested a male for affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Bexley MPS praised the joint work between the two teams, with successful stop and searches, patrols and an arrest.
Glydon Police joined officers from Plumstead MPS who, over the weekend, stopped and searched a number of people in a block stairwell and seized quantities of cannabis, as well as taking a youth home to their mum.
