A 70-year-old was hospitalised after being assaulted by a stranger in Gravesend earlier this month.

The pensioner was reportedly attacked by an unknown man on Whitehall Parade, near the junction with Whitehall Lane, at around 7.40pm on January 2.

He sustained injuries to his face and arms which required treatment at a local hospital.

The suspect is described as white, mid-20s and around 5ft 10ins tall with a stocky build.

He was wearing a grey hooded jumper, with the hood up, matching grey jogging bottoms, black trainers and was last seen running towards Whitehill Lane.
