A brave woman fought back during a robbery in Dartford last month, after another motorist tried to steal her handbag from the passenger seat.
Police are appealing for information following the incident, which was reported at around 11.30am on the Sunday following Christmas (December 27).
The victim of the robbery had been driving a grey Citroen in Priory Place before stopping behind a white Kia.
The male driver of the Kia is then said to have approached the victim, opening the passenger door of her car and grabbing her handbag.
The woman, who police said was in her 50s, confronted the thief and managed to get her bag back following an altercation, during which she hurt her finger.
The offender is described as a Black man and at the time was wearing a red jumper with black trousers.
At present, no arrests or charges have been made, however a 48-year-old man from Northfleet, the suspect for the offence, has since attended a police station for a voluntary interview.
Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 46/173244/20.
