A Chislehurst resident has been handed a large fine for breaching Covid regulations repeatedly at their home.

Police further issued a closure order, preventing unauthorised persons entering, to the Marlings Park Avenue address on December 18, after the residents continued to have guests round, creating noise.

Officers worked with the local residents who voiced their concerns about criminal breaches of the Covid legislation and Bromley Council to tackle this issue.

Inspector Baker authorised a Closure Notice and PC Visayalingham applied for a Closure Order on the address, which was heard at Bromley Magistrates Court.

The Closure Notice remains in effect until December 31, with conditions to prevent further nuisance behaviour at the location.

There will be a hearing at Bromley Magistrates Court on the December 31 for a full order.
