A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the fatal stabbing of a teenager in North Woolwich yesterday evening (December 11).
Emergency services rushed to the scene after a 15-year-old boy was found suffering from a stab wound.
First responders tried to save his life but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said his next of kin have been informed.
The Met Police launched a murder investigation in the aftermath of the fatal stabbing.

Less than 24 hours after the teenager's death, a spokesperson for the capital's police force said they had arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
"Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Newham have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.
"The 25-year-old was arrested at an address in Newham shortly before 5am on Saturday, 12 December. He remains in custody," a spokesperson said.
Detective Superintendent Paul Whiteman, investigating, described the case as "tragic":
"I am shocked at this tragic loss of a young life. An arrest has been made but the investigation is still in its early stages.
"I would appeal to any members of the local community to come forward with any information which might help bring those responsible to justice.
"Local officers will step up patrols in the area in the coming days to reassure the public and continue to target violent crime," he said.
