A Forest Hill primary school closed on Friday for a deep clean following an outbreak of coronavirus among multiple year groups.
Fairlawn Primary School has confirmed that a number of year group bubbles were recently instructed to self-isolate.
According to reports, around 15 teachers have tested positive for coronavirus.
Jeanette Brumby, executive headteacher, said: "Following a number of positive cases of COVID-19 at Fairlawn School a number of year group bubbles were instructed to self-isolate.
"In line with agreed protocol and following the completion of a full risk assessment, the school closed for one day (Friday 4th December) in order for a deep clean of the school building be carried out.
"The school has since welcomed students back this week and will continue to follow public health guidelines."
