Fire crews are battling an ongoing garage fire in Bromley that broke out earlier this morning (Wednesday, November 18).

London Fire Brigade, who posted an image showing the burnt out roof of the garage in question, said they had sent four fire engines and around 25 firefighters to the property on Brookmead Avenue in Bromley.

"A garage, attached to the side of a semi-detached house over two floors, is on fire," a spokesperson for LFB said.

They added that a man who was in the attached house was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics after he got out before fire crews arrived.

"A man left the house before the Brigade arrived. He was treated at the scene by London Ambulance crews for the effects of smoke inhalation.

"The Brigade was called at 0753. Fire crews from Bromley and Sidcup fire stations are at the scene.

"The cause of the fire is under investigation," LFB added.
