A World War Two bomb was found in the front garden of a house in Biggin Hill on Monday.
The Met Police's Explosives Team arrived shortly after a surprised resident called to report finding the bomb in his garden.
They found a World War Two RAF 8.5 LB practice bomb, and managed to safely remove the item for disposal.
A Bromley Police spokesperson said: "A WWII RAF 8.5LB practice bomb was found & successfully removed in the front garden of a Biggin Hill Resident yesterday.
"Police Expo Team arrived shortly after the call & have removed the item for disposal.
"Thank you to residents for your help & compliance during the incident."
