Police have arrested eight people after a series of planned operations at stations along the Woolwich train line.
British Transport Police officers teamed up with Met Police's London Bridge team, Bexley Police and Southeastern Railway over the weekend.
The officers conducted operations at several stations with marked officers and weapons searches to catch anti-social and criminal activity on the transport network in south east London.
Stations along the Woolwich line were targeted by the 'Proactive Metro' team, including Woolwich Arsenal.
In total, the BTP said eight persons were arrested, two for possession of a knife.
The Proactive Metro team is a continuation of Operation Avara, a new policing unit set up to target illegal activity on the transport network.
Op Avara has been a regular occurrence across south east London train stations over the past year, all targeting criminal activity on the transport network using officers, police dogs and metal detecting gates.
BTP London also said they have been working closely with other forces on Operation Sceptre this week in a coordinated period of intensification to tackle knife crime and wider violence.
The force said they were looking out for passengers 24/7, and released a number of photos.
