An elderly woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she was "attacked and assaulted" inside her care home in south London.
The 81-year-old was attacked by another resident of the care home in Peckham over the weekend, suffering a head injury.
The incident took place inside a care home on Queens Road, Peckham, on Saturday night (November 7).
Emergency services were called to the care home, which has not been named by police, at around 9:30pm.
The woman was found seriously injured and was rushed to hospital where he condition has been assessed as life-threatening.

The Met Police say they have identified the other resident involved in the incident and are not looking for anyone else, nor have any arrests been made.
The victim's next of kin has also been informed.
