Police have launched an urgent appeal for an elderly man missing from Sydenham who they said was at 'high risk'.
The 81-year-old — identified as 'John' — was reported missing by Lewisham Met Police on Sunday evening (October 18).
On Twitter, the borough police force said he was missing from the Sydenham Hill area.
They meanwhile provided a description of what they believed he was wearing and carrying when he disappeared:
"High Risk Missing Person 'John' 81 Year old male missing from Sydenham Hill area. Dark grey Jacket, Black trousers, flat cap Carrying Tesco carrier bag, shoulder bag and Black walking stick.
"Met Police Ref: CAD 6561/18Oct Any sightings please call 101 @MPSGreenwich@MPSBexley," a spokesperson for Lewisham MPS said.
