Police dogs helped track down and arrest two suspected burglars after two cars were stolen from a person's driveway in Gravesend.

Kent Police say they were called just before 3am on Wednesday, October 15, after two vehicles were reported stolen from a driveway in Thomas Drive, Gravesend.

Patrol offiers were dispatched and followed a trail of sightings of the two stolen cars to the Wainscott Bypass. The cars were then found abandoned in Cherry Tree Close in Rainham.

Police carried out a full area search using police dogs and officers, and at around 4am, the suspected offenders were found nearby.

Both teenagers, the pair were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Kent Police said: "A 19-year-old man from London and a 16-year-old boy from Essex have been bailed until 27 October while officers carry out further enquiries."
