A man has been arrested for cannabis production and electricity theft offences following a successful drugs raid in Greenwich on Thursday morning.
Greenwich Met Police Service executed a search warrant at an address in the borough in the early hours of October 8.
Officers broke down the door to a flat and discovered a quantity of cannabis being grown inside the property.
The culprit was also allegedly abstracting electricity, the statutory offence of dishonestly using, wasting or diverting electricity.
According to UK Power Networks, the set up inside the flat "could have caused a nasty fire!"
The raid was a joint operation between Greenwich MPS's Integrated Enforcement Team, Woolwich MPS and Greenwich Council.
Greenwich MPS said the male had been arrested for production of cannabis & abstracting electricity.
The Woolwich team added that the male was in custody and currently being interviewed.
