More than 20 people were evacuated from houses near a restaurant which caught fire in West Wickham this morning.
A small area of the ground floor, mid-terraced Indian restaurant, Sonargaon, was damaged, including external ducting on the building.
Fire crews evacuated 22 people from neighbouring properties, isolating gas and electrical supplies into the building.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Around 40 firefighters attended shortly before 7am and were able to bring the incident under control by 9am.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
